General information

We have renovated a historic cathedral in Amsterdam into our home to accommodate modern tourists and involved locals. It has a long history that goes back more than a century. We'll give you the gist for the time being. In 1921, the Roman Catholic St. Rita church was constructed. In 1943, the cathedral was bombed by Allied forces, as Anne Frank wrote in her diary. It was reconstructed with a larger tower and a longer hall after the war, but later it lost its religious use. By constructing an outdoor memorial to remember the bombing and rebuilding a library that welcomes visitors from near and far, BUNK honors the church's heritage.
